Position: Interim Director – West Africa Drug Policy Network (WADPN).
WADPN is a coalition of over 600 civil society organizations in 16 West African countries with a goal of promoting evidence-based drug policy reform in the region. The organization works by advocating and building the capacity of local CSOs to address the impact of drug markets on democracy, governance, human security, human rights and public health.
Job Profile
The Interim Director is a pivotal role. The role has responsibility for engaging with fields of interest to OSF, developing appropriate strategies and tools for fostering desired social change, while also developing and managing relationships with other entities including potential and current grantees. The interim director works collaboratively both within WADPN and with external entities whose goals are aligned with the West Africa Drug Policy Network.
This is especially important now as the organization is developing the building blocks necessary to sustain itself for the years to come. While this is an interim position, the selected candidate will be eligible to apply for the position of Executive Director, in a year’s time.
