The International Drug Policy Consortium (IDPC) is a global network of NGOs that aims to promote objective and open debate on the effectiveness, direction and content of drug policies at the national, regional and international levels, and supports evidence-based policies that are effective in reducing drug-related harm. We have over 140 member organisations worldwide, and our Secretariat team is based in London (with a smaller office in Bangkok).
The IDPC Secretariat is looking to appoint a Team Assistant to contribute to the smooth running of our secretariat operations and to provide essential administration and communications support to a small, dynamic and high-functioning team.
The successful candidate will have proven administrative experience along with demonstrable experience and/or interest in health, human rights or drug policy. S/he will be highly motivated, flexible, capable of working both independently and as part of a team, and will possess a willingness to combine administrative/support work with tasks requiring more autonomy and creativity, in particular around communications and social media. Excellent English communication skills are essential, as is competency in Spanish and/or French and a basic knowledge of key communications tools. Experience in financial administration is highly desirable.
The successful candidate will join a small and highly motivated team at the IDPC Secretariat and must be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills. This position is London-based and applicants must have the right to live and work in the United Kingdom.
